We protect, restore, and empower victims of injustice with a goal to end intergenerational exploitation and prevent human trafficking.

Three visionary entrepreneurs – Haejin Shim Fujimura, Nelli Kim, and Brianna Johnson – came together from different walks of life seeking to extend their resources to those exploited within red-light districts in India, which led to the launch of Embers operations in 2018.

Hear how a bold dream became a reality under a shared mission to end intergenerational exploitation and prevent human trafficking.

TESTIMONIALS

“We are so thankful ... that we are near Sahasee Embers. You know us now, and you are able to see our plight. We cannot go to our village, and we are out of business. We are at the mercy of the people, as we do not know what will happen next. But we now are happy because you care for us."

"Thank you for distributing ORS (Oral Rehydration Salts) and mineral water to us to protect us from getting dehydrated."

—Police Inspector Umesh Gavali of Navi Mumbai

“We are street dwellers; we just sell trinkets or flowers at road signals. Now there is no business because of Corona. We have been hungry for so many days. We are only eating what you are giving because no one cares for us. Thank you—thank you."

“I am impacted by the suffering of the clients and also their resilience. Many times, I am overwhelmed by the impact we make, even with the small things we do for the clients. As a person, my understanding of trauma has increased. I have become more empathetic towards my own emotional needs, my family, and humankind in general.

—Rabina James, trauma counselor

“Through my weekly conversations with [my counselor] Priyanka, I feel that I have become more positive and patient. I do not feel stressed as much as I used to before. I feel cared for and motivated by Priyanka as she encourages me. I feel like I have someone to talk to.”
